Position Profile: Medical Applications Web Developer

Our Client is a software and intellectual property (IP) development company specializing in sophisticated digital signal, image processing and analysis technology. Our Clients current product line includes customer focused applications for medical imaging and seismic data imaging. These applications offer innovative tools to help professionals to better interpret and analyze data through core innovations around which our Clients applications are developed.

 

Our Client works with research teams and individuals across multiple universities to generate, refine, test, and commercialize breakthrough innovation into market driven commercial applications.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

·           Working within an Agile team to develop C++ core technologies for advanced 3D medical imaging technologies that incorporate cutting edge research from around the world

·           Extending client/server architecture for web-enabled advanced visualization applications

·           Developing wrappers for our core technologies using .Net, Cocoa or other technologies to allow third party developers to rapidly deploy our technologies into existing applications

·           Writing unit tests for developed functionality and generally supporting the necessary infrastructure for a highly productive and effective modern software team

·           Contributing to design and architectural decisions for our products

·           Mentoring junior staff in software development techniques

·           Working with Product Management and QA to ensure the delivery of reliable and innovative medical solutions

Required Experience/Skills

·           3 or more years of experience in C++ development

·           1 or more years of experience in Java development

·           Demonstrated experience with cross-platform application development (Windows & Linux)

·           Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new software technologies

·           Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, easily maintainable code in a production software environment

·           Familiarity with and enthusiasm for Agile development techniques

 

Beneficial Experience/Skills

·           Experience with OpenGL coding

·           Experience developing with Flash/Flex

·           Experience developing in .NET (C# and C++/CLI)

·           Prior experience with Agile development environments (pair programming, unit tests, automated testing, re-factoring, Scrum, etc.)

·           Experience developing 3D software

·           Experience developing web based applications (client/server, scalability, distributed systems)

·           Familiarity with medical image processing techniques and algorithms (segmentation, registration, filtering) using Matlab, VTK, and ITK
